MTC-606 SYLLABUS
"Product Records: Identification & Traceability"

Application:           System, component and quality engineers, and others who need an in-depth understanding of the documentation, storage, and retrieval of a product’s information.

Prerequisites:        MTC-601or Approval of the instructor.

Structure:              Training is ½ day in length, consisting of one four hour session.

Description:           Presents the DOE-accepted methods for product identification, control, and accountability of all materials and processes for all elements of the product throughout the product lifecycle.  In addition, it presents the methods for identifying, collecting, filing, maintaining, retrieving, distributing, and retiring records. 

                              Following are the primary topics:

  • Product Identification and Traceability (TBP-200 Series)

  • Records Management (TBP-500 Series)

Objectives:            Upon completion of the training, the student will be able to:

  • Utilize the correct processes for product identification, control, and accountability of all materials and processes for all elements of the product throughout the product lifecycle

  • Interface with their appropriate NWC information systems.

Requirements:       Attendance and participation in all class activities, i.e., completion of Pre-Class & Post Class Course Material Tests, and the completion of the Student Course Evaluation.
