MTC-605 SYLLABUS
"Product Verification & Validation: Requirements, Qualification, & Delivery"

Application:           System, component and quality engineers, and others who need an in-depth understanding of the methods for assuring the communication, attainment, and support of a product’s design intent.

Prerequisites:        MTC-601or Approval of the instructor.

Structure:              Training is ½ day in length, consisting of one four hour session.

Description:           Present the DOE-accepted methods of controlling the definition, development, delivery and support activities, responsibilities, and interrelationships throughout the weapon development life cycle and correlates the weapon system development activities to the product realization process. 

                              Following are the primary topics:

  • Program Management (TBP-000 Series)

  • Concurrent Qualification (TBP-100 Series)

  • Design Control (TBP-400 Series)

Objectives:            Upon completion of the training, the student will be able to:

  • Define the activities, that characterize the contractual agreements between the various agencies, DOE, DOD, and NWC, and their influence on product requirements, schedules, and costs throughout the weapon system life cycle

  • Define the concurrent qualification process including engineering authorizations documenting requirements verification, qualification plan preparation, and implementation.

Requirements:       Attendance and participation in all class activities, i.e., completion of Pre-Class & Post Class Course Material Tests, and the completion of the Student Course Evaluation.
