MTC-604 SYLLABUS
"Product Control: Design, Fabrication, Change, & Acceptance"

Application:           System, component and quality engineers, and others who need an in-depth understanding of the NWC Product & Product Definition Control System

Prerequisites:        MTC-601or Approval of the instructor

Structure:              Training is ½ day in length, consisting of one four hour session.

Description:           Presents the DOE-accepted methods of controlling the configuration of NWC weapon and weapon related product through the product realization process.  

                              Following are the primary topics:

  • Design Control (TBP-400 Series)

  • Product Acceptance and Control of Nonconformance (TBP-700 Series)

Objectives:            Upon completion of the training, the student will be able to:

  • Control product definition and the product, and

  • Issue the appropriate engineering authorization to document the engineering process used throughout the product lifecycle.

Requirements:       Attendance and participation in all class activities, i.e., completion of Pre-Class & Post Class Course Material Tests, and the completion of the Student Course Evaluation.
